Task 13: Facebook

Watch the video again. Please, write your reaction to it. I expect a substantial amount of text. Questions like the following should be answered: Have you ever had the same thoughts as the young man in the video? Do you think the story reflects well the doubts a Facebook user may have? Is it realistic? Is it well balanced, showing the positive and the negative sides of social networks? Do you like how the topic is presented? Do you like the end? etc, etc.
DON'T just put words together. I'd like to have a very clear impression that you have given it some though and have tried to express ideas in the best possible way you can.

· The first time I saw the video in class not understood very well, but I've seen it at home, and I got clear ideas. Now I will talk a little about this video. The first thing is that I liked it, the video explains very well what many people do on facebook, especially younger people. I feel very identified, because many times we go out to party and we meet a person, and I add to facebook directly this person and I only have seen him once in life. I've also often thought that Facebook was a waste of time or that it was dangerous because it shows personal information. This video shows very well like users may doubt between add or ignore a person on Facebook, or they may doubt if this page is a waste of time. This video is completely realistic, I think many people will feel the same as this young man. The video shows more bad things than good things of this network, but I think that is very useful because you can speak directly with yours friends and publish pictures. I liked the video it because it explains the situation of many people very well, but the end in my opinion is the worst part, I don't like how it ends.

Task 11: Holy week

We used a couple of hours this week to review Holy Week from different viewpoints: religious, traditional, folklore, art, citizen participation, and even weird and extreme customs.

Answer the following question in as much detail as possible: Does holy week have any special meaning to you? In any case, explain, please:

· For me this week means a lot of since I was a child. Since I was seven or eight years I went with my parents to watch the processions, but i didn't like as now, I think that is because I was a child and I didn't like the noise and the burden of the center. I am a person of Christian religion and I believe in God, so this week gives me good feelings. From Easter I really like the smell of incense, the music played by the bands and see how the people move the processions. But the most important thing of this week is ''El Cautivo'' for me the most beautiful procession that there are in Málaga. Every year I see it with my mother and always I see this is equal of incredible for me. This year has been the most important because when I saw it, I immediately remembered my grandfather. My desire would have been to see it with him. So every year to see him again, I will ask something for my grandfather.

1. Do you believe life is unique to Planet Earth? Whether yes or no, explain, please.

   · No, I don't think that there is only life on our planet earth. I think that in 20 or 30 years old someone will find life on some planet, this maybe Mars.

2. Supposing there were other intelligent creatures somewhere in the universe, do you think they would be technologically more advanced than us?

   · Yes, I think this could be true. We are technologically advanced but not as much as we think, so maybe there are someone that be more advanced than us. Or maybe I think this because I see a lot of films and cartoon movies. 

3. How important for humankind would be to discover life somewhere in the universe? Explain, please.

   · If would very important because it would be one of the best discoveries of time, but also because we could live with them and learn from them.

4. Do you believe we have been visited by extraterrestrials all along history and before?

   · I think not because other wise someone would have discovered them, but I think that is true that exist evidences that there are life on other planet.

5.1. If you think we are, what do you think might be their intentions?

   · I would not have bad intentions, but would be a little scared as we are, and would be nervous, but I aslo think that they would be happy to see new creatures in other world.

5.2. If you don't believe it in extraterrestrials visiting us, why you think so many people are convinced thay have seen them?

   · Because people are very false, and they want make believe that there are extraterrestrials to the rest, or also because they have become so obsessed with this idea that they think that is true that they have seen them.

SCIENCE FICTION

1. How much do you like science fiction films and stories?

   · Science fiction is one of my favorites genres, because I find them very interesting and I'm always thinking about what will happen at the end of each film.

2. Which science fiction films/stories do you remember?

   · One of the best science fiction film that I have seen and remember is the lard of the rings, and also some like Narnia, The Golden Compass, etc.

3.1. Can you remember any film/storie in which extraterrestrials are good and mean well?

   · Right now I only remember the film ''Ete the extraterrestrial'' in which the alien lives with the human, and he is good.

3.2. Can you remember any film/storie in which extreterrestrials are bad and want to destroy or conquer our planet and exterminate humankind?

   · I haven't seen any movies with this feautures but I have heard of some, like ''The war of the worlds'' and ''Alien'', in these films the extraterrials are very bad, and they try to destroy all.

ZERO HOUR

· The aliens come to the earth becouse his ship crashing into a building.

· Aliens abduct all the parens of the world leaving the children alone.

· Children look to their parents try to hide from the aliens.

· The extreterrestrials discovere them and take them to their ship.

· Take children to Mars, there are bound to all parents.

· A 3 years old child gets to mourm becouse their parents aren't.

· One small alien tells his father he does not want to see the child cry, and she returned to their parents.

· Aliens and humans begin to get along.

· They return to the earth together and live together.

· For the last one, the child and the small aliens, start to be friends.

A COMPARISON 

· My story isn't much like the real one, because in the real children help the aliens to take over the world, without the parents' knowledge, this mean that they were friends. While in my story parents were kidnapped and taken to another planet, while children were searching, this mean that they were enemies, but finally they can be friends and live together.

Task 9: The letter

Dear three kings.

This year I have been very good and I passed everything, so I hope that to come true all I'm going to ask. I will divide my letter in parts. First, for my family just want to ask for work and health that is the most important, I'm content with that. Second, ask for my country that the crisis is over and that all those people who were evicted back home. Thirdly, for the world I ask that the war doesn't exist, that all people live well and disappears abuse and racism. And finally, for my special person that is my grandmother I ask the best. Now that was just left alone, go ahead with health and much love. I ask nothing for me, I just want this to be true and that my grandmother is a long time with me. I forgot, also very important to me that my Malaga win the champions league.
